MiHaven is looking for an Experienced Graduate of Architecture with experience in Special Disability Accommodation (SDA). A full time, permanent position is available in our offices in Cairns. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved with projects from conceptual design to completion of construction, including involvement in the certification and documentation through the NDIS. Candidates will also be required to live locally in Cairns as to work closely with consultants and construction team.
Key responsibilities include:
Project conceptual design and sketching of options,
Draft plans through Revit and material choice for budgeting,
Prepare 3D model with VR capabilities for Directors to review,
Liaise with consultants (Eng/Mech/Elec/Env) to obtain Development Approval
Preparing project specification and list of inclusions,
Prepare construction set drawings,
Liaise with construction supervisors of SDA final designs and project commencement.
Liaise with suppliers to secure materials for construction.
Weekly site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and quality standards for Special Disability houses, including achieving critical dimensions,
Design, document and draft landscaping plans for Council approval.
